Litter Updates

Our last three pups will go home this weekend – often I am asked if I am sad to see them go and always the answer is yes! However with our new application process and the time spent with each new home prior to exit many of my anxieties are relieved. I look forward to hearing about the hunters and their training I Look forward to photo updates and antics from their first year and a cherish the new friends I have made because of these wonderful dogs. We will show next weekend (if I get the entry fee mailed on Monday lol) Pete is recovering nicely its slow going but we are optimistic – I truly thank you for your kind words and healing prayers they have meant alot to me :) I have added a photo of playtime with the remaining three – Enjoy ~ Doni

Greta Update Brandy X Jax 12/08

Dear Doni,
I wanted to send you a quick update on our sweet girl, Greta. Greta just turned 3 at the end of 2011. We couldn’t have found a better companion for our family! Greta has become our “shadow”…like most Weims, she wants to be with us wherever we go! She has become a great running partner for me and my husband, she loves to join my little boys as they chase each other around the house, she plays great with our neighbor dogs, she thrives on training/obedience, she loves to bask in the sunshine and cozy up with us on the couch…but the minute we get up from the couch, she’s up too and follows us wherever we go next! She’s like an alarm clock…we always know when it’s 7 AM or 4 PM as she’ll be standing by her bowl waiting to be fed. Wherever we go, we get compliments on her good looks! She’s like a celebrity around the neighborhood! Thanks for breeding such a wonderful Weim for us!

SKY X Buddy 7 Weeks

We are growing by leaps and bounds and are learning to climb the steps and destroy chew toys – We love to chase the wing the human has on a string and we love to cuddle and watch TV – See you soon!

A special thanks from me to you for your patience and understanding in my time constraint since my husbands surgery – recovery has been slow and although photo shoots and posts are limited puppy cuddles have been ongoing – we are excited to meet you all in the next few weeks and have you meet your new pups :)

Dakota X Lenny 7 Week Photos

Below are the 7 week photos for Dakota X Lenny – Puppies are growing and learning new things everyday – they have learned to use the dog door and go out and explore in the puppy yard – they have learned to climb stairs and we are working on attention games and tracking with the pheasant wing. We have two females available from this litter with a strong early hunt instinct showing and one adorable cuddle bucket :) Please feel free to email drehbarweims@wildblue.net for more information.

Updates

Yesterday my husband had surgery to repair his back – he will be hospitalized for a few days and then home to recover – this has put me a little behind this week on getting the aptitude tests done and posted – we have completed some pups and will continue to work on them through Friday – I will do a post on Saturday with new photos and placements. Pete is doing well and the surgeon feels that this will eliminate most of his pain he has – We thank you all for your prayers for a speedy recovery and your patience with me getting caught up this week.
